Cofinimmo carries out large and middle-scale renovations of our properties with a view to letting and maintaining them in our portfolio over the long term. This means we can offer our customers high quality properties of durable construction, whilst keeping down maintenance costs.

Major projects in progress include:

Construction which will be acquired in its future state of completion through a Public-Private Partnership.

Nursing homes

Cofinimmo continously conducts (re)development projects within the healtcare sector allowing to assist the operators in their expansion. For 2011, the major construction/renovation works are carried out in the homes Heiberg (Beerse), 't Smeedeshof (Oud-Turnhout), Wipstraat (Antwerp), Weverbos (Gentbrugge), Zevenbronnen (Walshoutem) and Prinsenpark (Genk).

 

Future development projects are:

Livingstone I-II, Brussels

Cofinimmo will renovate this 35,000m² building site comprehensively in 2012 to convert it into a mixed project (residential/offices). For the residential part (Livingstone I, 16,000m²) Cofinimmo endeavours to obtain K-level 30 and E-level 60.

Science 15-17, Brussels

Cofinimmo has decided to completely redevelop this property. The company has opted for a mixed project in order to make it a flagship property in the rue Belliard.
Objectives amongst others are obtaining a 'Very Good' BREEAM certificate and participating with this project in the IBGE contest 'Exemplary Building 2011'.

Prison, Leuze-en-Hainaut

Cofinimmo is part of the consortium Future Prisons which will build the new prison in Leuze-en-Hainaut (expected delivery date at the end of 2013). The consortium aims BREEAM 'Excellent' rating.
