Cofinimmo included in Europe’s Climate Leaders 2023

After the successful introduction of “Europe’s Climate Leaders 2021” and it’s second iteration “Europe’s Climate Leaders 2022”, the Financial Times and Statista have been looking for "Europe's Climate Leaders 2023". We have very pleased that Cofinimmo has been selected – as the only Belgian property company - in the list of companies across Europe that have shown the highest reduction of their emission intensity between 2016 and 2021.

Additional criteria

This has been calculated taking into account their core greenhouse gas emissions in relation to their revenues, as well as further climate-related engagements (e. g. collaboration with the CDP and Science Based Targets initiative, transparency regarding scope 3 emissions). The methodology of last year, which was solely based on the reduction of the emission intensity, has thus been expanded with additional criteria. The following graphic shows the considered criteria and the composition of the score.

This award is the latest in a long line of distinctions and demonstrates that Cofinimmo wishes to continue playing its pioneering role in ESG.
