Cofinimmo launched its activities in healthcare real estate in Belgium in 2005 with the acquisition of nursing and care homes. Since then, the group has extended its portfolio which now amounts to approximately 1,598 million EUR (as at 30.06.2025) and consists of 84 operational sites, primarily nursing and care homes and assisted-living facilities. Cofinimmo participates in numerous innovative projects aiming at delivering comfortable and sustainable healthcare infrastructure, with a particular attention to quality of life of the residents.

Project in the spotlight
Villa Batavia, nursing and care home in Grimbergen
Cofinimmo acquired this nursing and care home in December 2022. The delivery of the site, whose construction works started in 2021, took place in January 2023. Located in Grimbergen, in the green periphery of Brussels, the facility counts approximately 5,600 m² and offers 82 beds for elderly patients in need of extensive care. The building will feature strong energy performance, including a hybrid heating and cooling system (gas and air-to-water heat pumps), a type D ventilation system, solar panels, and an underground parking garage with charging stations for electric vehicles. This project has been showcased on Z-care TV programme to which Cofinimmo is proud to participate in.
