The GL Accountant will join the Accounting Team Belgium. This team’s mission is to ensure proper treatment and reconciliation of the balance sheet items, all monthly accounts receivable and payable, tax accruals/payments, payroll postings, accruals/deferrals, claim and invoice generation and management of overhead expenses of all the entities of the group. They prepare the monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and statements for management review.


  • The supervision and explanation of the reporting of the general costs.
  • The intercompany accounting and the booking of the valuation of the different participations.
  • The VAT declarations and the control of the general accounts, as well as the budget preparation
  • The GL accountant supports the periodical close processes and records information such as accruals, deferrals, reclasses, and intercompany entries.
  • The GL accountant performs account analysis to make sure that entries and balances are correct and appropriate supporting documentation is present.
  • On a regular basis, the GL accountant reconciles accounts with the general ledger to ensure that all entries are accurate and that transactions are reported in accordance with accounting standards and government regulations. In case of errors, the GL account makes changes as necessary.
  • The GL accountant overlooks timely and accurate invoicing and recharges of costs such as energy, real estate tax, the co-ownership cost and of different other taxes.
  • The GL accountant prepares or assists in the preparation of statistics, spreadsheets for management reporting, documentation for the auditors, annual accounts, etc..


  • You have minimum 2 to 4 years of experience as an accountant and you are ideally in possession of a Bachelor in Accounting.
  • You possess strong analytical and integration skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills and ability to effectively prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  • You are at ease with IT tools, Excel and ERP packages.
  • You are proficient in French, Dutch and English (written and spoken).
  • You are able to build a strong internal network in no time.
  • You have a team-oriented work style, you are pro-active, stress resilient & flexible.
  • You can work autonomously within established procedures and practices and combine recurring and non-recurring tasks.
  • Has a broad perspective of problems and is resourceful in finding solutions
